At any given moment, everybody is doing something.

Someone is waking up.
Someone is going to sleep.
Someone is eating.
Someone is drinking.
Someone is cooking.
Someone is washing the dishes.
Someone is taking a shower.
Someone is brushing their teeth.
Someone is getting dressed.
Someone is leaving home.
Someone is coming home.
Someone is walking.
Someone is running.
Someone is driving.
Someone is riding a bicycle.
Someone is sitting on a train.
Someone is waiting for a bus.
Someone is waiting for someone.
Someone is working.
Someone is studying.
Someone is reading.
Someone is writing.
Someone is building something.
Someone is fixing something.
Someone is cleaning something.
Someone is selling something.
Someone is buying something.
Someone is making something.
Someone is destroying something.
Someone is planning something.
Someone is worrying about something.
Someone is thinking about the future.
Someone is thinking about the past.
Someone is thinking about nothing in particular.
Someone is looking at the sky.
Someone is looking at a screen.
Someone is looking at another person.
Someone is looking for something.
Someone is searching for an answer.
Someone is searching for a place to go.
Someone is searching for someone to love.
Someone is laughing.
Someone is crying.
Someone is smiling.
Someone is angry.
Someone is scared.
Someone is excited.
Someone is bored.
Someone is lonely.
Someone is surrounded by people.
Someone is completely alone.
Someone is meeting someone for the first time.
Someone is meeting someone for the last time.
Someone is falling in love.
Someone is falling out of love.
Someone is getting married.
Someone is getting divorced.
Someone is having a baby.
Someone is holding a baby.
Someone is watching a child grow.
Someone is saying goodbye to a parent.
Someone is remembering someone who is no longer here.
Someone is being born.
Someone is dying.

All of this is happening.

Right now.

At the same time.

One person is standing somewhere.
One person is sitting somewhere.
One person is lying in bed.
One person is walking through a city.
One person is looking at the ocean.
One person is looking at a mountain.
One person is looking through a window.
One person is looking at the ceiling.
One person is standing in a crowded station.
One person is standing in an empty field.
One person is somewhere in a hospital.
One person is somewhere in an airport.
One person is somewhere underground.
One person is somewhere above the clouds.
One person is somewhere in the middle of nowhere.
One person is somewhere surrounded by millions of people.
One person is somewhere nobody else knows about.

And every one of them is experiencing something.

Every one of them is somewhere.
Every one of them is inside a particular moment.
Every one of them has only one place to be.

No matter how much is happening elsewhere, one person can only be in one place.

One body.
One position.
One moment.
One direction.
One view.
One mind experiencing whatever happens to be happening there.

Everything else is somewhere else.

While one person is here, someone else is there.
While one person is awake, someone else is asleep.
While one person is arriving, someone else is leaving.
While one person is beginning something, someone else is finishing something.
While one person is celebrating, someone else is grieving.
While one person is having the best day of their life, someone else is having the worst.
While one person is taking their first breath, someone else is taking their last.

And none of it stops.

One moment passes. Another moment comes.
One person moves. Another person stops.
One person changes direction. Another person changes their mind.
One person makes a decision. Another person regrets one.
One person starts something. Another person ends something.
One person disappears from another person’s life. Another person enters it.

Everything keeps happening.

Everywhere.

All the time.

There is always somewhere else.
There is always someone else.
There is always something else happening. A different room.
A different street.
A different city.
A different country.
A different continent.
A different life.
A different story.
A different beginning.
A different ending.

And no matter how much exists, no one can be everywhere.

No one can see everything.
No one can meet everyone.
No one can experience every life.
No one can experience every place.
No one can experience every moment.

One life can only contain so much.
One day can only contain so many hours.
One hour can only contain so many moments.
One moment can only be experienced once.

And while all of this is happening, the world is simply continuing.

Someone is waking up.
Someone is going to sleep.
Someone is being born.
Someone is dying.
Someone is beginning.
Someone is ending.
Someone is arriving.
Someone is leaving.
Someone is searching.
Someone is finding.
Someone is losing.
Someone is remembering.
Someone is forgetting.
Someone is becoming.
Someone is disappearing.

And somewhere in the middle of all of it,
there is this moment.

Just one moment.

One place.
One life.
One tiny piece of everything that is happening.

And then the thought comes back again.

All of this is happening.
All of this is happening at the same time.
All of these lives.
All of these moments.
All of these places.
All of these beginnings and endings.
All of this movement.
All of this existence.

Someone is waking up.
Someone is going to sleep.
Someone is beginning.
Someone is ending.
Someone is somewhere.
Someone is doing something.

Everybody is doing something.
